Chandra R. Bhat

Chandra R. Bhat is an Indian-American civil engineer, transportation researcher, and academic known for the development of econometric methods for consumer choice analysis, travel behavior and demand modeling, discrete choice analysis, and transportation systems planning. He is the University Distinguished Teaching Professor and Joe J. King Chair in Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently a faculty member in the civil, architectural, and environmental engineering department, as well as an adjunct faculty member in the economics department.
